New Challenge theme ... thoughts :)

As I've just returned from Atlanta, and had such inspiration I've come up with some Ideas (I get those occasionally) so here's some thoughts and maybe you'll all toss your thoughts in with it to come up with the new challenge theme...

Up from the Ashes (any and all can enter using any program)

Gentler Times

The beauty of ....

Down in Dixie

Lazy River

Down by the Levee

Any one else can toss in ideas for this (theme titles etc) and then we'll choose one and go with it...

They are all great ideas Pat I love them, but a lot of folks here are from other countries and I doubt they know what Down in Dixie would be or even on the levee But Anything like on the River or Gentler times are a possibility. I love the south hope you had fun! :)

I think I'll go with up from the ashes for this month and then let the winner choose next months theme. I've been busy as all get out at work after school helping with some murals we are painting throughout the school. I got somehow rooked into doing the 'fantasy' parts ... hmmm imagine that ... LOL.

Thats the only thing I can think of that rises from the ashes aside from smoke! :D well that and a burned piece of meat, which is pretty usual for my kitchen. :p

I think Up from the Ashes is OK! It immediately brings things to mind, but not the sort of thing I'd normally be doing! lol! Expect loads of horror pictures on this one! But of course it doesn't have to be horror..... (It's just that we have a crematorium very close to here! Hahahaaaa!)

I don't really have any thing in mind at the moment I'll try later today right now I need sleep.. ummmm gosh, what did you have in mind I really like animals something to do with them maybe?? Maybe even victorian or Oriental this is just off the top of a sleepy head right now. Something everyone would enjoy..and that is a tall order too. lol

IDea here... brilliant... OMG ... How about I post the picture of the statue I took called "Up from the Ashes' to the collab gallery and do that as a collab challege, the idea is planted and everyone can have a go, either poser, bryce fractals, hand art whatever.

Next day... post for the Fine arts challenge, ....

Visions of Orient...

Loves oriental pictures in whatever form they take and again it could then be open to anyone and everyone using whatever form of art expression they choose.

:) Which of course would also include mixed media... ehehe...

Fine art is usually 'mixed' anyway... mine usualy is as I always sketch it first then go at it with other tools... either hand art or digital.

I think it's an excellent idea that there are two challenges here, one being "Up from the Ashes" for the collaboration challenge (mind you I have yet to see the image - I might feel I can't do anything with it! lol! Esp. if it's something to do with cricket, which I can't stand!!!!) and a second one with an oriental feel for the fine arts challenge.

Why not, let's have TWO going on at the same time? They are both different sections anyway?

You know what you could use LouAnn's image as an example for the collaboration one...... its perfect for that theme...

As for fine arts welllllllllllll I'll do something knowing me..may not be good but heck won't be the first time I've posted to a challenge and not been a good post lol lol..... :chorus: :nana:

Will do both towards the end of this month. Promise. September stinks work wise as it's so much to do with getting students settled, checking and ascertaining their levels etc.. and then eeks tonight Meet the teachers, I hate that as I always have to 'dress' up bleck...

Will do both images up with rules etc. tomorrow and post back to back say end of next week???? :) till then think, think think ... and postwork is absolutely allowed in any and all... I love postwork... :))))))
