I would really like to gather a collection of useful tutorials for the use of PSP, both as an editing program, and as a painting program.

If you are good at writing tuts, then please feel free to add some here in this forum, in separate strings, so that others needing to find out more about the benefits and assets of PSP can do so.

I will see what I can come up with too, but don't hold your breath for me!!! (I'm an instinctive player! I'm like that with music too! I just do it, but I couldn't explain how!)

There are different versions of course, so we will need to be clear about which version we are talking about each time.

Looking forward to this forum becoming lively and useful, and also a meeting place for people who use PSP8! Nicky. :bounce:

Anna as you know i only use 7 however lately I have run across tuts for the rest I'll try to gather them up and post them

Do you only want the new version of PSP Tuts or links to all of them??

I'm off to bed will check back before I post any links, or if you want e-mail me at home to let me know.

I use PSP6 an older version and frankly I think the best one so far. I'd be glad to do something.. A basic tut on it.. Will take a bit though if that what your looking for..

There are two ways of doing this..

1. Give a list of links to helpful PSP tut sites where there are already plenty of tuts for any of the versions - I think PSP users vary in what they have; I have version 8 (as part of the Jasc Power Suite), but some people are using version 9 and even 10 now, as well as right down to Version 5. The only problem with tut sites is that quite often they require you to join them in order to access their material, and what would be really ideal would be to get lots of written tuts together here under the IT banner if we possibily can.

2. If you are good at writing tuts and can do some for this forum and our IT PSP users, that would be great. I tried doing one, which is in another string, but I've not had any feedback as to whether people have found it useful. I didn't find it at all easy writing it either! lol! To get the images and screen shots to show so that we can see them easily, it is necessary to upload them into a hosting site for your pictures (I use Image Shack at www.imageshack.us which is free), and this is the one Robert_S uses too.

Thing is, Robert's WIP in the MM Forum was simply amazing, but what we need too, is to know what is used, how the effects are got, what brushes etc. etc., and of course, he was also working in Photoshop, whereas we are working in PSP - a reason I didn't download Dyllan Cole's DVD!

Anyway, if we have just links to tuts, I'll open a new string for those, and try and keep it locked so that they are kept together. Others can supply the links in a separate string, and I can copy them across...

And if we have tuts actually produced in this forum, whilst it would be nice to have just one tut string, I think it might be easier for people to find just the tut they're looking for if we keep them in separate strings... So, Links all in one string, tuts in their own separate strings - for now..

Thanks so much for the interest and I look forward to seeing some new tuts around whenever possible. :boogie:

I have used every version from 6 to 9 and have 9 solely right now, didnt get 10 just yet. But a good suggestion if you all truely want some great tutorials is to visit the PSP users site, PSP Users Site (http://www.pspug.org/) Lots of great things there including links to tube sites, links for Plugins etc.

:) I'm a member and haven't used it in ages. Only because I mainly use PSP for my drawings... but I learned lots there when I was first making web sets etc...

Pat I believe she would like us as users to do tuts at least that is what I believe she wants, I could be wrong. I know myself, I just can't right now am overloaded with site stuff, otherwise I could do a brief one on how I make my animations in animation shop. but right now I just can't. but I do believe Anna did explain what she wanted in this thread.

I also have been to the site you have listed it does have some amazing things there.
