View Full Version : Newbie Question about Posting Images

Hello. I decided to post an image. There were some unanswered questions that meant that I met with failure in achieving my goal. I got the image posted. But it's not in the fractal gallery where I want it, and when I was uploading it, I didn't see how to put it there. Now that it's uploaded, I don't see how to get it in the fractal gallery. So I need some help there to begin with.
The other issue is that nobody warned me that I would be allowed to upload only one image per day. I have seen other people upload as many as four in one day. What do I have to do to be allowed to upload up to four?
Thanks for your help. I couldn't find the answer to either question anyplace I looked.

When you upload you start on the upload page.. Then it takes you to a second page. There you choose your gallery you want it in and write your description if any.. and fill in what you used .. website etc if you wish.. then you hit okay and it should be in the gallery that you want it in.
It will show on the first page of gallery because each new uplaod is a featured upload. If you need a picture moved to another gallery just contact Rumour or Engel47 by PM here and they will move it for you.
Hope this answers your question.

Thanks! I looked at both pages, but I didn't see a place to designate my image for the fractal gallery. I didn't see it in the dropdown list.
I assume that if it is moved to the fractal gallery, it will still appear in my personal gallery. Is that correct?
I'll try to PM the two individuals you mentioned.

Pat,
I find that if I'm in the Fractal gallery when I click on the upload link, my images will automatically upload to that gallery...
As for posting more than one image per day, you have to pay a subscription fee to be able to upload more... a worthwhile investment I believe... lol!

All images you upload reside within your personal gallery as well as the other gallery they uploaded to (in your case, fractals). If you upload an image into the wrong gallery, the only way to move it is to ask one of the Admin people to do it, that would be myself or Engel47. To be able to upload into the gallery you want, on the page where you upload images there is a drop down menu: the Fractal Gallery is highlighted in the image below. But don't worry, if you go past this page and it's in the wrong place, the next place has exactly the same option so you can change it to the right place there.
(I've also moved your image to the right place ;))

If you want to be able to upload more than one image a day, you need to become a subscriber. This will allow you to upload 3 images a day. To do that, Click> User CP [top left of the menu bar], go down until you see 'Paid Subscriptions' This will allow you to get more than one upload.
(Note: I'm not ENTIRELY certain the Premium Desktop Art Membership option will work.)

Also when you signed up here for your "regular" mermbership you would have recieved an automated message welcoming you to to the site and informing you that you are allowed one upload per 24hrs.

Hmm interesting... I have never found that trying to change the category in the second page has worked.. I've ended up each time having to delete and reload, getting the category right in the first page only.

Thank you for the help. I didn't see the individual galleries listed in the dropdown list. I'll look more carefully next time.
As for subscribing, the last time I did that on a site that had erotic art, I got burned badly. This is because I do not choose to be associated with erotic art, and the admnistration took it upon themselves to associate me without my permission. I was reluctant even to post images here. I'll post a few. But I can't afford to invest the time and effort in a site where I can be associated with it. Your erotic art isn't as bad as what they have, but I discovered this can change for the worse overnight. So I won't be subscribing at this point. But thanks for the information anyway.

We keep a very watchful eye on what images are uploaded here. :sherlock: Simply subscribing doesn't mean you are associated with any form of art at all, be it erotic or otherwise, and we'd certainly never do such a thing to our members. We like to foster a friendly community feeling here, so consider this a very warm welcome to IT. :cuddle: If there's anything you'd like to know or any suggestions you feel you should make to help improve the site, you're more than welcome to post them here, we'd love to hear from you.

I echo what rumour said - being a subscriber entitles you to 3 uploads a day - nothing more. You will not be "subscribed" to any particular art type, nor to any forums etc. And we do keep a very close eye on what is uploaded, if you have a look through the galleries going back to when we first started you will find that there is very little that would offend even the most sensitive viewer :blowkiss: Being a subscriber is well worth while if you want to upload more than one image a day, and at $24.99 works out to just over $2 per month or 52 cents per week :boogie: Best bargain on the net :sherlock:
