This month I am in a big trouble in trying to find a winning image for the contest, so I propose a mixed way of chosing the winner. I have chosen these three images for you to vote in this poll:

Because it has something special in it. The beautiful shaped lake enclosed in a range, and that sunray which makes the whole look like a magic place.

Because it is the most romantic image, and has (my opinion) the best sky of the contest. Undoubtedly done with very good skills, this render shines even more for the mood it transmits.

Because, skill-wise, this is possibly the best done image of the contest. But because skill is not all, Pat used a lot of imagination in colours and lights to give us a great view of a really exotic place.

There were also other images that nearly made the poll, but I wish to keep the choice to a low number. Anyway I'd like to give honorable mention to:
"Deserted Cold place", by Annakirsten, whose title perfectly suits this great render;
and
"Storm over Buckeye lake", by wile1, which has an impressive atmo, light and water setting

As I will take a short break, and be back on wednesday, on that day I'll consider this poll closed, and announce the winner.

Well... Although I thought mine was best :D I am going with Sass.. Because her lake while very simple has this awesome light effect on it giving it great depth to the water and gives it an air of myster. I liked the other two very much. Classy's pic is a beautiful sunset. The colors are magnificent, but its another orange sunset.. no offense classy :).. Pats is wonderful colors but its just a bit to dark. .... still think my is best :p lol *runs away* :D

Hey Rev? I thought you were going to choose the winner?? so I don't understand this poll and the logic behind it. So when you get back can you explain this poll to me please cause I am confused..... then again what else is new lol........ :D

Maybe think about next month going ahead and letting each person who entered vote.just a thought. :smooch:

I understand what he means I am just not sure about a poll. I would have chosen others possibly even like yours Chris is awesome. I believe that most are just simply confused a bit. I am sure it will all work out as I know Rev knows what he is doing and thinking.

I voted for Sunset Lake because of the three the sky is much better the water is much better and the terrain is far better looks far more real than the other two.

Lake Serene is a good basic terragen with good shadows.

Moon Lake is another good basic terragen good sky color and good basic terrain and water and so so cloud work.

Chuckling, good idea Rev as I got stuck too deciding. Next one I'm not judging, just gonna let everone vote :) LOL. And ain't gonna tell who I voted for ... but will say I adore sunsets... :)

While on the next contest we'll do as ron says :worship: , i.e. letting everyone vote, I wish to thank vos for having stated my words again. I wasn't simply sure about which image to choose, and asked you all.
I simply don't like the idea of being too rigid in these kind of things.
I loved all three of the images for some particular things each. And it is not a question of being "basic" terragen or not, I have already stated that the winner will be the most skilled only if image quality goes with mood and that special magic only a winner image has. This time I was attracted by the skills behind pat image (not basic at all, trust me, ron :nod: ), by the big colourful mood of Carolyn's work, and by that magic ray in the work of Sass. So what about asking you?
The poll was the first thing that came to my mind because of the fact I didn't want ("IMPORTANT: Please don't wote here in the thread, just cast the vote on the poll!") people to bias the votes with their comments, and mostly because I wouldn't have been there to moderate for the days during the voting. Next time everyone will vote, and that's all.
