Wow, I do love world machine, and always used it. But I have just an unreg version, and to botain big terrains I always have to do a lot of external work.

I finally broke down and am using the trial one, so till I learn it enough to feel comfortable and do lots of terrains that are good, I'll hold off. I've seen some incredible results with the new version ... including the ones by the two of you. The rocks or larger pebbles effect is much more noticible I think by some others as well.

But ... I on occasion have made them and when surfaced they take on a strange pixel effect, not happy with some of them, might be the smoothing or non smoothing in WM ... Read all the tuts including a huge one that i downloaded and printed, and sort of understand things. At least now i can save that was the hardest for me to figure out. :)

Much as I want to, I just don't think I'm capable of understanding anything like this! I saw a snap-shot of plugs (called building blocks?) and thought.. "What??? This is as bad as, or worse than, Poser!! No WAY! My mind just doesn't think like that!" :sadangel:

Anna, never could make heads nor tails of Poser, WM is much easier to understand since doing TG work, the basics of it anyway. I downloaded their PDF file which is about a 100 pages long and read it, studied it and highlighted it ... felt like I was back in college again. And I still don't totally understand. The best part of WM though is that when you 'connect' something correctly it's got a half green light which means it fits in that spot...

LOL CG work is so interesting... LOL...

Pat, after seeing your latest picture made with WM I feel very tempted...

It sounds a bit like a jig-saw puzzle the way you describe a half-green light coming on if something fits in that slot!! lol!

Maybe.... Just maybe... As for studying it, doubt if it will be this year!

Can you put me in the direction of Robert's blue colouring for atmosphere? (I might find it in the meantime in which case I'll edit this message to say so.)
