ME TOO when I'm not fiddling with new programs or making comments everywhere, lol! But I know what you mean - it's a great little number that was chosen for the challenge, just requires some thought and quite a bit of time really. You've even opened it to Mixed Medium style in any case, so I don't know what the problems are!
You never know, there may be a sudden rush coming up!
Are you feeling any better yet?

Did not understand the theme so good
The theme, as I see it, is about getting all dressed up to go out to a party, a show, or a night-club, and thoroughly enjoying yourself.
"Painting the town red" is an English/American saying, meaning that you're going to go and thoroughly enjoy yourself under the influence of anything that will enhance that enjoyment - usually alcohol! (Often ending up causing riots, lol!)
anyway, I'm sure others will clarify the theme even more for you, but maybe this will give you an idea.

Hi Chris, aww that's a nuisance not having Poser when you're used to having it, I do understand.. Have you thought of doing some photomanipulations instead? I don't know what other programs you use, but did you know that you can download free photos from certain places, such as Public Domain Photos (http://www.pdphoto.org/PictureHome.php?mat=pdef&md=fav) and Alamy Stock Photography (http://www.alamy.com/?OVT=RFI)? You can get people pictures, particularly from the second one, or... you could use free psp tubes from HERE (http://www.freepsptubes.com/) if you use PSP - I have a feeling it's possible to get psd ones for Photoshop too..
Just a few ideas for blending stuff, mixing, texturising, etc. I don't know if you have a pressure sensitive pen mouse, but if so, then it's an opportunity to draw and pull things around so they're different (well even a normal mouse will enable you to do that of course). Use of fractals - anything where it's royalty free and there isn't a licence or permission required - you need to read the terms of use always..
Can you do hand-art (drawing, painting etc. on paper and then scanning it in)?
Am I teaching granny to suck eggs? lol! Just a few thoughts that's all...

I so have this idea!! but Im having trouble getting poser to behave, how much time is left? I'll do it I promise!!
Lou-Ann, I recently made such a fuss about the concept that I knew I needed to uninstall Poser then do a completely fresh re-install, then download the updates for it from their site, but do you know, when I actually did it, it was so, so, worth it!!! It's fast, it renders well, and I'm thrilled with the results. I have a feeling that this alone would help halve your problems that you're experiencing at the moment. It just seems to clear everything and make it work far more efficiently.
Again, just a thought to consider.. If you do this, you'll need to reinstate the registration so that you can access the two updates to download into Poser.
I have gone on also to put some of my newer downloaded files into the downloads section - just so that I can access them more easily, but this isn't necessary in order to speed up the program.

Not a bad idea Pat since so many are a bit overwelmed at the moment.
I feel badly because I thought it would be a fun theme yet most don't seem to know what to do.
Puttin on the Ritzs could be so many things, sure we think of it as going out all fancied up more then the usal but it could also mean other things.
Characterized by or given to ostentation; pretentious. as in showy.
put on the ritz Informal
To behave or live in an elegant, ostentatious manner.
Now from this I can see someone being pretentious
someone being a show off type
or just nicely dressed. I'm sure there are more meanings these happen to be from here http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Ritz
1. Ritz - Swiss hotelier who created a chain of elegant hotels (1850-1918)
Cesar Ritz
hosteller, hotel manager, hotelier, hotelkeeper, hotelman - an owner or manager of hotels
2. ritz - ostentatious display of elegance; "they put on the ritz"
fanfare, ostentation - a showy outward display of anything
3. Ritz - an ostentatiously elegant hotel
hotel - a building where travelers can pay for lodging and meals and other services
colloquialism - a colloquial expression; characteristic of spoken or written communication that seeks to imitate informal speech
It could mean classical as in a classical drawing
If could also be say a lady showing her as just being extremely happy.
I fine some of these interesting I hope this gives some a few idea's I know just searching for the dictionary meaning sure brought more ideas up.
It could be as simple as a girl getting all dressed up okay even my last post in reality 2 of them would have also qualified as puttin on the ritz especially the holiday one.
lol now that was a good idea and here I could have posted one I did post.OMG!!lol
It could even mean just being showy, or just having fun, think about any parties one may have gone to over this holiday season and I think many can come up with a good entries.
I sometimes think especially this last month between the holidays and site down time people especially right now are a tad bit overwelmed. Alot of high emotions running just about every where this time of the year.
Hope some of this helps or frankly change the theme or add another theme to this one, yet I do agree in allowing alittle bit more time
example also those who have posted in the collaboration the lady Angela supplied most of those could have easily been part of this theme.
I do hope this gets people to thinking on an image.
Merry Christmas every and Happy New Year to all

I just thought also look at my avator now she reminds me of puttin on the ritz
she's classy as in puttin on the ritzs because of the way she is posed. she could be a teaser type lady, I think also of just enjoying life.
So Come On Everyone lets see some imagination and more posts.
okay I've said enough for now , so come on people here are some great ideas, it could be a maid for example, a special look, gosh now that I think about it lol there are a number of ones even in my own personal gallery that would have qualified.
You may even want to add say another image for those we really aren't sure and want to experiment a bit
ok guys off I go...for now

LOL ya'll give me way to many ideas and not enough time to do it!! LOL Ritz crackers!! Always reminds me of my father those Ritz crackers. One time mom and I were sitting watching TV and dad says Hey do we have any Rats Cookies? Mom looked at me I looked at her and finally she broke out laughing. What dad wanted was Ritz Crackers. He had a way of turning a word around and saying it different. Well I've never forgotten that and sometimes I'll even ask hubby if we have any Rats Cookies in the house! :D My dad was a very funny man.

I thought I had extended, with all the down time we had December, my fault honestly for not opening another vote, although Chris knew my special secret, Bond and I were bonding over the holidays... j/k seriously I had thought I had 'extended' and with state tests for students and some workshops at school, I've sort of forgotten about it...
That'll teach me a teacher still has lots to learn... I'll post under a seperate note for everyone...
:)
hugs guys and thanks for the nudge...
Pat
