gaf,
Contact administration the site may not be configured for the DivX player/codec.

You can't see anything? You mean in the animation or on the website?
If you can't see anything on the website, try deleting the cookies in your browser. If that doesn't work, try switching to Netscape or Internet Explorer.

Jaeger,
If the browsers you suggest don't have the plugins for divX, gaf or anyone without the codec probably will not be able to view gafs' avi.
I can't view gafs avi either.
I've contacted admins they may do something about it shortly.
Thanks for your help.

gaf,
There are advantages to using the divx codec for compression and file sizes,
But not a lot of people have the divX player.
If certain browsers do not have the DivX codec plugin which some may not your audience will be smaller, if you would please post your movie files with a "thumb"
that told members these are divx, or just write in the "title bar" DivX.
This would let members know whether or not they could play your movies.
Thanks,
good Luck!

To put up a thumbnail, when you upload your image, there's a place right at the bottom (I think it's after the email) where you can add in a thumbnail. If you don't have a thumbnail and want to add one after you've uploaded, you still have this option when you go to edit the pic (Edit File - found on the right side underneath the animation) and you can select a picture for your thumbnail (the place for it here is above the category selection box).
If I've used DivX in my animation, (and I have in some) then I think the best option is say you're using DivX and also give them a place to go and download it. Something like: DivX Codec needed (http://www.divxmovies.com/codec/). So far I've tried to avoid uploading those animations with DivX, in part because I have files that are smaller (crappier yes, but this is the web where fast uploads become necessary) and because I was lazy and wanted to avoid the hassle of getting people to upload another codec just so they can view my animation.
Thirdly, I also use Mozilla and have found that it has some trouble with plugins. I'm using Firefox, which is the browser only version, and anytime I want to view something that has Flash, Shockwave, Javascript applets etc, I get a message to upload a plugin. Despite doing this, it makes no difference, and this, I have found out, is because I'm using the cut down Browser only version of Mozilla. If you use full Mozilla (which includes an email thing), this should solve your problem (my friend uses it and has no problem viewing my stuff). Alternatively, you can do what I often have to do, and open up IE briefly for that specific page and take a look at what I'd been missing. This is how I was able to see your animation.
Incidently, you might like to change the category from the User's Gallery to the Animation Gallery. ;)
