OK folks. How do you prefer to see the time displayed beside the forum threads? Do you prefer it as it is now with the name of the last person who posted and the date and time the post was made, or would you prefer to go back to what we had for a short time where it said the last post was 1 minute ago, or 1 hour ago, or 1 week ago etc?

There has been some debate amongst the moderators on the subject so we felt we should see what most of you preferred.

Please vote to make your views known.

Thanks.

Angela.

You know my view on this! :D

But for the record.. Time in hours and minutes for all us old folks here that can't remember what we had for dinner last night! :D

Thanks Angela I think this is a good thing. After a lot of sleep and even though some may get upset but I'm going with #2. It is nicer to see hours then a date.

I'd like to see the time here at the site fixed up first. last night posted at just after midnigt and it showed a post time 8pm the night before. thats a four hour difference which would put me somewhere in the Pacific Ocean somewhere. Spent enough time on wake and guam don't need to go back there....thats for sure....lol

Ron - before I go messing about in the vbulletin settings *G* I would just like to make sure that you have the time for your own region in your User CP options? I have set mine for my local time (GMT+1) and it always shows me the correct time, so I need to make sure there is no other reason for it being out of sync with some of you.

My last forum post a few min ago:
1. 2. 2006 3:39pm gallery comment time

So far there are 6 votes for "I like to see when the last post was actually made, in minutes ago, or hours ago, etc" and 4 who are not beothered either way - so it looks like it will changed back to this format. Poll will be kept open a few more days in case anyone wants to add anything - will be closed on 10th and whatever has the most votes gets it :)

Ron just a thought - have you tried changing the User CP setting to tie in withever it is ahead or behind - if that makes any sense to you. i.e if you post a message at 3pm your time and the site says it was 7pm your time change the UserCP to - (minus)another 4 hrs from what you have it set at, and see if that sets the forums times correct for you.

just changed it to add -4hrs to see what happes. time is 1537 right now.
edit to show: post time shows 1245.
edit to show: so taking it -12 hours only brouht it 1 hour closer to the real time.
edit to show: so now I just put the time on the last pic or any time sensitive post is all.
