Is it possible to create a landscape in Ter. and then create textures to make it look like water? I was thinking that this would be a way to create awsome waves for a sea scene. Unfortunately, I still can't get the program to work well for me (I still have the unregistered version) but I'm going to try the idea in Vue. I've done it in Bryce with mixed results requiring a lot of postwork. It may be a fun idea for a challenge in Terragen.

I think you can do it - did some good white caps - nothing like what you want - need to do more work - good idea .

Terragen is awesome, believe me! I have tested Bryce, Vue, Carrara and Mojoworld but... nothing gets above Terragen! I'm hungry to get the Version 2 - very hungry and I can't wait... it's a bit like my waiting for the new playstation 3. :FIREdevil

Take a look

This was one I did, where the waterfall is actually a cyan-white rock slope covered with water caustics textures to look like a waterfall. As I said in the comment, it is a hell of a work, as you have to map precisely where you want to apply textures, but it can be a beginning idea for your question!

Omg, a tut? Yes, but it is really an hard time doing one, as it is a hell of a work. I'll try, anyway, if you are VERY :D patient...

Wow, that waterfall is wonderful! I was trying to do ocean waves, and darn, that was hard. (not to mention that my program kept freezing) it's totally cool to know it can be done, even if I'm not going to try anymore.

Let'sm say I'll study the way to texture some earth to look like water. But why do we, we already have water, and the possibility to put waves on it?
;)
Anyway I'll think about it!
