Someone recently asked for innertraveler to provide banners and buttons so she could link here. This came as a surprise since we already provide them. She couldn't find them.
Fact is, even one of our own moderators was unaware of this fact, so obviously, I have screwed up big time. I know it's a flaw on my part, but I don't aggressively pursue linking. Probably because people are already frequently asking me to link to their sites and I don't want to seem like a jerk by refusing. The thing is, I am very selective about the links we provide. I consider them, not bargaining chips to be used for self-promotion, but rather a service for our users. I have nothing against people who use them as bargaining chips, but that just isn't my intention, at least not now.
I'm always delighted to add a fun, creative, whacky or novel new link. And if you come across one, please let me know. I am not interested, however, in linking to the world. This is probably a huge mistake, because then the world would probably link back. I guess I'm an idiot, but I feel the world will eventually find us, and besides, I would rather pay for some appropriately targeted advertising, which I plan to do in the future.
Anyway, on the homepage navbar, the "Advertise" prompt now takes you to the buttons and banners page. I tried to supply a variety, so everyone would likely find something acceptable for his/her site.
Please take a look and, hopefully, you'll see something that suits your style. Thanks.
