View Full Version : A Kitsch Collaboration?

Earlier this year I collaborated with another artist, by writing verse to compliment one of her images. The results can be seen on my website here:

http://www.minos6.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/html/collaborations.html

My suggestion is that one of you guys might like to collaborate in the same way. Here are the guidelines:

Your image needs to contain Poser figures
A dark or melancholy theme is preferable as this is my usual style of writing (as I'm sure you all know) :)
Leave me some room to include a positive aspect or ending to the verse
The verse will appear on the image, as in my own work, in the most appropriate place so as not to obscure your work

Other than that, the content is entirely up to you.

I'm happy to add post work to your image (I tend to use MM a lot myself) if you're OK with that, or to leave it in its virgin state - you decide :)

Any successful collaborations (i.e. I can manage to write something to compliment your work, and you like the results LOL) will be displayed on my website (with full ownership/copyright statements) in my Collaborations gallery as well as being displayed here at IT.

If anyone is up for my Kitsch challenge, reply here :)

Hi Dzanetos, my friend!

Nice idea! I can work with Poser and would give you a picture for your Kitsch challenge, if a picture of mine would be worth to do so... just let me know!

OMG that made me cry!! I lost a child once and as a result I was instramental in helping to get a program into the hospitals to help mothers who loose children through miscarriage or death. As hard as it was for me to go through I think I helped to make it easier for other mothers to understand and go through the lose of a child. This just is one totally powerful and awesome work!! Thank you!!

As for me doing a dark work.. I don't think I can. Im not very good at dark work. I love life and love color and happiness. Thats me. But the offer is nice and nice of you to do it for others.

Hi All,

Thanks for your comments on the collaboration with Anita - it was a very powerful image which was easy to write for :)

Robert, I'd love to collaborate with you.

Susan, it would be great to work with you too, I've admired your art for years!

It really doesn't matter what mediums are used to create your work - the only reason I said Poser figures are needed is because all of my writing has a human aspect to it, and I didn't want to find myself trying to write a haiku about a fractal LOL

BTW, whilst there will still be a dark side to my pictures, each future piece will also contain a positive note. I love life and colour and all that stuff too :) Maybe looking at stuff that's a little dark gives cause to celebrate life :D
