I thought it about time that we officially acknowledge that there are many people in our midst who are affected by ill health, some with cancer, others with different forms of sickness, often somewhat debilitating, sometimes requiring an awful lot of courage just to face each day.
What better thing could we offer than prayer on behalf of these people?
Whilst I hold to the Christian faith, I fully recognise that not everyone has the same belief system, but I think most of us have a belief in a Higher Being in some shape or form, and that therefore it might be appropriate for us to use this string to express our love, concern, and prayers for wellness, peace, courage, or whatever seems appropriate for those whom we know of at IT who are facing such daily ordeals.
I am not mentioning more than a couple of names here at this stage, as it would seem inappropriate to do so without permission, but of course, if anyone reads this and would like to ask for prayer, then please feel free to do so in this string. Often we know who some of the people are by reading their comments under their images, or even by some info that may be on their profile pages, and so on. Other people just like to keep things private, and that's ok too...
The two people in particular on my heart at this time are Vjera and Terry (Hawk) who have both expressed how unwell they are at various times under their images, or in comments, so it's no secret. Of course there are many others too....

To kick off then, I pray for both Terry and Vjera; I pray that you, Lord would give them peace in particular, strength to overcome, and courage to face the ordeals that face them on a daily basis as they struggle and battle to overcome not only their sicknesses, but also the side-effects of medication and other treatment. I pray that You will come close to them in a tangible way, and that they may continually cling onto the hope that lies therein, not feeling too downhearted, but understanding that You desire only what is best for each of us - even though we may not fully appreciate what that is in this life. May they seek Your face, and derive from the Source of their lives, that strength and vitality that comes from You, and not merely from within themselves.
May You bless them, keep them, make your face to shine upon them, and guard their souls in this life and the one to come..
