1/When using DazStudio I realise my artwork with the basic stuff + a fiew free stuffs...'cause I've no choice .

2/I think with 3D softwares, there is a possibility to create our stuff(for example=making a face...making hair...), there are many free 3D softwares,...I really wonder with witch 3D software we fave to begin: I found the same reply: blender

May be there are other free 3D softwares we can begin witn.

Another free one is Anim8or I think 3dCanvas has a freebie, and Wings is one of the best free ones. If you take this into the modeling forum they may help you out more. A3, V3, and M3 are all free and there 1000's of characters and textures and clothes that are free just go into the Poser forum and look in the free Poser links there.

Aside from buying Poser, the only other thing I've ever bought were the morphs for V3. Everything else I use is free stuff that I change either in Poser or in PSP8. *shrugs* It doesn't have to be expensive. You just have to look around. If it works for Poser, it will most likely work in Daz, so you can have it all for free!

Right like QR says DAZ Studio is free and about 90% of the things for Poser work in DAZ Studio, then it is just looking and geting all the freebies you can which will keep you busy for quiet a while....

Many stuffs of poser don't work with DasStudio so I read this in a P6 forum:

There is very little that is made for Poser that doesn't work with Daz Studio, and a little experience will soon teach you what you can't use (ie. Poser 6 lighting, dynamic clothing, Poser 6 PMD's, Poser 4 bump maps, etc). Much of it has to be imported or converted using free plugs that are available at Daz. Some of the items can be made to work without conversion if you learn how to assign parts like textures manually.

Poser/Daz Studio is not a fast study. It takes time to learn the nuances, find all the tools, and get a feel for what is done for what reason. You obviously have a fundamental graphics knowledge, which is good for supporting what you have to learn to master this particular brand of 3D. Read the manuals. (I don't often recommend this, but here I can't stress it enough.) Also look in the tutorial/questions forums here, at Renderosity, Daz, 3DCommune, Poser Pros, and others. There is a great deal of knowledge being shared about Poser/ Daz Studios, and their interaction.

Don't be in a hurry. There are so many aspects about a dynamic skin/skeleton 3D system that isn't encountered elsewhere. And besides the fundamentals, there are terabytes of stuff to download and learn to use, both free and commercial. There is plenty of free stuff to keep you more than busy until you feel the need to spend money. There are many free characters with free support (hair, clothes, etc) that can be used in Daz Studio. As a rule, don't buy unless you know specifically why you're buying.

The knowledge will come with time and experience. Try to avoid being frustrated when just starting. You will find the tricks to make these things work the way you'd like (most of the time). Just stay at it, a step at a time, and the processes will come to you, and you'll soon find a comfort that just keeps growing for years. It's a long term addiction, so make yourself ready for it.

That's to say I have to learn ...P6...DazStudio...I saw Robert_S wrote that he has been in 3D world for 20 years...so Poser, DazStudio...are not only toys ...but I have to learn and to enter in 3D world :)

Hi Lior!

It is true that some things will not work in Daz Studio, but most everything can be Made to work with a little patience and know-how.
It helps to know how to change settings in the surfaces, but that will come with time as you learn the program.

Some things will not work, such as certain face morphs that may require the Aiko Complete package from Daz - but other free face morphs may be made without it - only way to know is to try. Other than that, things that are called "dynamic" will not work in Daz Studio.

One thing to be aware of - and this is an area that mixed me up a LOT when I first started - there is a difference between a clothes outfit, and a clothes texture mat. What you are finding in the freestuff that you say doesn't work, may actually be textures that require a specific outfit.

But there are outfits you can find for free, and there are even more textures that can be applied to those outfits to make them look different - add some transparency maps and you can even change the whole look of an outfit!

These are things you will learn as you go. Don't give up - ask questions. I guarantee, modeling is much more complicated than learning the posing for the models. And even if you learn to model, you'll still want to learn to pose what you model. So start with Daz, and eventually Poser if you feel you must have it - but keep in mind daz is Free!

I'll send you a pm with a couple of other suggestions...

Have fun!
