When using default settings with Terragen we don't get such a wonderful render, so many beginners are downloading file.atm but don't be astonished you can't express yourself fully!!!
If you know by heart those settings :musik010: you could modify them, it depends on the terrain...or what you want to express you would be surprised by the result you'll get :musik010:
This tutorial doesn't exist any more in English and nore more in Duch but I made a copy and paste of those settings when they were online and this is what you can see :I dedicate this topic for Robert_S :musik010:

I knew this one, but actually I have never been able to replicate it in such a darksome way, obviously with a different cloudshape! If anyone has a result like this, I'd gladly see it!!!

This picture (http://www.innertraveler.com/publicgallery/showphoto.php?photo=25648&cat=500&ppuser=2693) is based on those settings ;)

Wow... again, this will be held in note for whenever they upgrade Terragen so I can get it to work!

Those settings don't depend on the version of Terragen you are using :)

I know. :floating: My problem is that one of the latest windows upgrades bropke my Terragen - all I have is the latest version and it won't work. Which is why I said I was waiting on the next one.

Besides - I have so many unused programs on my PC I really need to give them some input! I'll get back to Terragen eventually, I'm sure.

Haven't you downloaded before an older version of Terragen?

Nope, but that's okay. I'll try again soon, it may work again after more Windoze updates, who knows. Nothing urgent, like I said, I've got plenty of things to work on at the moment. But I'll get back to Terragen eventually.

This is a great tutorial, I've always wondered how to get such clouds, and now I know! Thanks so much for posting this Lior, it's really helpful, hopefully there will be more coming?

I'd love to be able to get the hang of texturing properly, but it all just comes out looking so lame... however it will have to wait until I get back from holiday before I can tinker.

Hi Rumor :)

If the tutorials I post wouold be in "post it" every member could access them more simply without any research.
I have all the stuff for a beginner...a terregen file is simply a topographic profil, so
white=histest
grey=between
black=deep

So to find a good pov , better to place the camera in a contrasted zone.

Ajusting all TG settings is the same as in real nature life and realising a landscape is the same as taking a photo' ....

Have fun :)
