I just had to reformat my computer totally again. Seems somehow I picked up a virus.. a nasty one called Win32polup or something like that. It invades all your EXE files.. I just lost 2 gigs of files for daz and rosity I had but hadn't put of disk since last format. It ruined the exe files of Daz. I'm just spitting nails because I don't visit many sites, and I never open attachements and I delete my junk mail. Growls.... Well Just wanted you to know will take me a few days to get everything back up and running again. I did manage to save my latests pics I was working on so I have about 3 or 4 to upload. Growls again just because... :D

I am really sorry to hear this, LouAnn - I've heard of a lot of people getting hit with that - and like you, losing all of their .exe files. It's horrible!! I just recently did an extra backup and I suggest others do so also.

The problem is, apparently this can sit on your system unactivated and then something (what???) triggers it. Makes you scared to go site browsing, it's just terrible.

I hope you get everything re-installed, I know what a mess that is - I had a virus/breakdown whatever last august - and I had not saved a single thing at the time, so I know how it feels.

I wish I had gotten to this earlier, I had this one earlier this week and after a couple of hours(4 to be exact) I got rid of it.my only saving grace is I work from two different pc's,but that virus was on my art pc and all I do on it is artwork and use it to upload to the galleries.I thought mine was a goner when I saw that it had infected every executable file for every program I use and then jumped drives and infected all the model downloads from that D place. If it happens to anyone else....download a freebie program from dr-web.com called cure it...go into safe mode and run this program. takes awhile but it did the trick and saved the day.sorry for the hindsight info Lou Ann.I've been sick(could break a fever for close to 3 days)

Yikes David!! Not good to be sick! But its okay my computer needed cleaned out. What was sad was losing all those files from the D and R place's :( And I had 2 gigs of them. Still trying to find them and get them back, some came from friends some I bought, I did manage to get those back! Its bad so if folks will read this and they get it maybe you saved the day for someone else! :D Hugs.. and take care its bad to be sick this time of year.. Hubbys sick right now and I've gotten my stupid chest congestion back again. weather up and down up and down grrrr...
