Hi Everyone

Haven't been around much been way to busy.

I told you all about the Folklore Festival that we attended this past weekend. Well I had to look after the Beer Gardens aswell as the local Digital Fine Art Society Group I started had a display of our digital artwork.

There was over 14,000 people once again attending this weekend event.

I sold 7 peices of artwork and the biggest one I sold went for $300 Canadian.

It was alot of fun and we met alot of nice people. I need to catch up on alot of sleep.

Wow, sounds like a huge success, SnowDog, and hey, congratulations on all the sales!!!! Looks like you may become a celebrity before you know it!

It sounds like the kind of thing I loved when I was younger - art fairs, so much to see, so many wonderful temptations - of course, I didn't have the money to buy back then, and now I don't have the physical stamina to go to that kind of thing, lol (well, no money now either - I spend it all on Poser stuff!!)

But I have to say one thing I love and appreciate is art you can take home and display or hang on the wall. Any chance you'd give us a peek of some of your sales? I know they were prints, right? You still own copywrite - but if it's not okay to show them, I'll understand. I bet they all looked fantastic in print!

:gallery:

Thanks for sharing - I'd also love to see photos if you took any! Or a link to a photo page somewhere?

Hi Judee3D The framed print I sold was this one here

http://www.pbase.com/snowdog/image/59439177

Its called " Euphoria "

It was a 16x20 inch print framed and matted

The other 6 are not on the Net yet I will be putting them up shortly.

BigH - Actually he didn't have a chance to have a beer as soon as he walked in the door he saw it and wanted to buy it right away. Told me he was an art collector and had a perfect spot for it in his house. He told me the names of some of his other artists works and I recognise them as artists that are held in high regard. So of course my head grew to 5 times its size! lol

Sorry I'm late responding - that's a really cool print, SD, gotta love that smile, I can see why it sold!

I back-tracked from the link and caught a look at your gallery too, great images in there! I'm so glad things are going well for you, it is such a pleasure to see a member of our community get recognition!

Keep up the great work, and above all, enjoy!

Very well done indeed!! It's one thing to see your artwork here on our own screens (which are all different) but I imagine the real thing is quite stunning (not that it isn't stunning on our screens, you understand)!!

Well I hope you have caught up on some sleep by now, 'cos beginning of June, we are holding a Strictly 2D Digital Art contest - just for you!!! Seriously, quite a few of us felt this should be done, so I do hope you'll take part! We're going to use your concept for this first one...

I've missed your artwork of late btw!
