Here is a link to a streaming video cam in British Columbia Canada. There is a cam on an eagles nest and there are two hatchlings in there. I've only had the link a short time and have yet to see the adults but they will show up eventully . Its fun to watch the babies. :)

Louo Ann, all I'm getting is a blank screen - as in black screen. It shows buffering completing, then the timer starts counting and I see little flashes of text saying things ike cam2 or whatever - but no iimage. Does this require a certain video codec or something?

It sounds interesting, anyway. Maybe it's just off at the moment.

It might be night time judee. When its dark you can't see anything at all. The camera has been going off an on today but its because its very windy. Sad to report the littlest eaglet is not getting food. The big one is picking oin it and shoving it out of the way now. Looks like we will lose the little one soon. :(

Aw that is so sad. Is that normal behavior? Like in law of the fittest? I would have thought in the case of baby birds, there would be no problem with haveing several. Maybe the problem arises when there are just two?

It's still not working for me, but I'll check in several times a day and see.

Its normal behavior for eagles yes.. Here is a site that has all kinds of info on it about eagles and their habits. http://www.baldeagleinfo.com/eagle/eagle4.html .... This morning the little eagle got something to eat. But not as much as the bigger one. Its sad but the big one will probably kill the little one eventually. But thats just life. It is amazing to watch them. I watch from about 10 am til usually around 11 pm when Im online between those hours. Its light enough on the west coast at 6am their time to see them and it gets to dark around 11 my time which would be 9 on the west coast.

We have had Bald Eagles in this area, they were introduced, but for some reason I think they migrated farther north cause no one has seen them.

I actually got to see them for awhile - couldn't see a lot though, they were both over to the left, one in front of the other. From that perspective i couldn't tell which was which. I saw the front one move a bit, raise its head and yowl once or twice. Then a while later I saw mama Eagle come - couldn't quite tell what she was doing she seemed to put her beak into the nest and push around something? Then she raised up to get closer to the babies and - the camera blocked. Stayed on a fixed image for at least 5 minutes and I had to give up as it was getting late my time.

It is interesting though - there is so much to see out there, i bet that watching web cams could become a habit in itself. Kinda like my habit of freebie hunting and gallery browsing. lol!

Yeah it can be a bit habit forming, I leave the cam on in an other window while Im online then check it about every 5 minutes. You can tell the eaglets apart. The bigger one is really big and has a lot of white feathers on his head, he/she is also lighter in color. The little one is about half the size and has a darker head. Little one is smart though he/she is avoiding the big one at feeding time by going around him and snuggling up near momma or daddy. He ate good yesterday. They all did and went to sleep early. I saw the parents bring in at least 5 times some food, once was a seagull one was a rabbit the rest looked like mice or fish. But boy those little ones got a lot. I sure hope the little one makes it. Sad to think that big fat chick will probably beat it up :(

So far I've not been able to see anything, but when I do, it would be just my luck to see the big one doing the little one in! Nooooooooo!!!! I'd cry!!!!

Just seen them both, one moved out of the picture though, so I was left with just one to watch for ages. It kept dangling its head over the edge of the nest, lol! There was also another bird (don't know what it was) above them peeking into the image!
