Here's what YOU do:
Create a picture containing people. It needs to have emotional content - happy, sad, whatever.....
Here's what I do:
Write powerful verse to compliment your image, which you can then display in your own name as a collaboration. The words would need to include my copyright information, that's all.
I've done this before with another artist. The results were really dynamic, and can be seen in the "Collaborations" gallery on my web site.
Or, check out my IT gallery to get an idea of the sort of words I write...
There's some real talent here at IT and I'd love to work with some of you, so come on! Get in touch!

Sounds like a wonderful idea! I'll think on something. Been a bit busy and well mostly lazy lately so it may take a couple weeks but I think this is a great offer. :)

Hi Henry,
I know you have the occasional landscape in your gallery, so do me a dramatic landscape then! I'll see what I can do with the words :)

Flimsy faes and fantasy imaginings any good?
Or a photo taken whilst walking in the wood?
An abstract of colour needing to be understood
Or a fractal or Poser, opposites in mood -
Anything could happen, it could simply be food
For thought, though of course, nothing lewd,
Just something of interest to a friendly dude
Who's poetry talents are far less crude
Than my own attempts at creating a rhyme
When severely restricted by lack of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, might give this some though but I'm off to bed now!!! :brushteet

Oh btw Dzanetos I've done some minor poetry myself over the years. Even had one small poem published once. But its nothing compared to the lovely work you do. Im still working in my mind on a pic for you. :)

Thanks for the compliment Lou Ann :)
I think of the words I write more as song lyrics than poetry - in fact I usually write them to music (quite often instrumental jazz) - I used to be a songwriter (lyrics only) in years gone by, so it's a natural way for me to work.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with :)

Naah! Let's keep the original suggestion! All I need to do is come up with an image now! lol!
I have a whole folder of poetry I've written over periods of time. It's something that comes and goes in phases - and last night was not a good example!!! It was just a bit of fun!

your words are always wonderful and powerful.
I have a picture already made which I have called 'haunted', and I think It would look even better with your words.

I've been a proliferous writer over the years, mainly of articles about medical or religious matters, but also lots of journalling and poetry. On one occasion I wrote a rather long poem, which turned out to be a completely prophetic writing of some things my daughter would do. She was horrified as she watched the whole thing come into being - all through her own choices at that time, too! It was very wierd! In fact several of them turned out to be prophetic. (My daughter also has this gift, but doesn't use it for the same reasons - they tend to be prophetic, and not in a good way!)
I keep having it in mind to use some of the less emotive ones and do some images to go with them. Never get round to it though, 'cos there's so much else going on most of the time and also, I'm not sure I particularly want to go delving back into the past, as there were many hurts and difficult times being worked through most of those writings - yes, including the medical articles!! I used to run an on-line support group for chronically ill people of which I was one, and one day (after three years of it) I just had to pass that over to some other people to run because it truly got me down to keep dealing with the burdens of others when I still cannot overcome some of my own! I also ran a website filled with stuff I had researched and written, about M.E./CFS and Fibromyalgia, also quite a lot on the offshoots of having those illnesses, includig isolation and being misunderstood... (The idea being to help others in similar situations and to give some guidelines as to how to overcome some of the difficulties - it was highly successful in its time, but again, for my own sanity, I needed to let it go!)
There's even one journal I wrote, which incidentally was recommended for publishing for the Mental Health Sector, that I have never dared even open up again since I closed its last page! It contained dialoguing through a horriffic portion of my life which I now consider dealt with and to look back would simply tend to open up old wounds again when the whole purpose of it was to put it all to bed!
So.. I share this not for sympathy, or for any form of adulation for what I was able to do, but so you know where I'm coming from in that respect.
Music and art are far better therapies for me these days! :musik010: :gallery:
