My revelation of Gil Bruvel is revived.

It was in 1998 when I was visiting a huge art exhibition in Moscow, where I bought a CD of “Mythos” with enchanting cover on it. I did not know yet that behind CD cover was a real painting of well-known artist Gil Bruvel. As time was passing by I have started my own art study and at the same time I was collecting a lot of art books about artists. Bruvel is one of my favorite artists. I am glad that I discovered this universe of impressive images created by him. Now it's my pleasure to share my humble knowledge about his art with you. I hope you really enjoy while you look at his paintings.

Short Note from Gil Bruvel’s Biography:

“Gil Bruvel was born in Sydney, Australia, in 1959 to French parents. When he was 4 years old, the family moved back to France. As a child, Gil often worked with his cabinetmaker father in the family’s workshop, learning spatial skills that would play a large role in his future work. Even as a young boy, Gil’s parents noticed his affinity for art. At a boarding school in historical Avignon, Gil’s first art teacher encouraged the 9-year-old and nurtured his obvious talent. By the young age of 12, Gil had already completed his first full-scale oil painting…”

WOW! What a very interesting history you have included here, and I have just looked at the site and am quite stunned at his wonderful artworks! It's truly very Russian and of a wonderful surrealistic, ornate quality, which I often see coming through in your own artworks! Thanks so much for sharing!
