Problem starting Terragen

I have this problem, with the free verson of terragen.
Every time I start it up, it starts to install SmartSound Quicktracks plugin. The problem is that I do not have smartsound quicktracks installer, so, I have to cancel the dialog boxes a couple of times before terragen starts up.

Have anyone of you seen the same problem? And do any of you know a solution to this?

I have also the free version but not this problem,sorry.
I hope someone else can help you becauce our moderator for Terragen (Revenant)is not online in the week-ends

maby you can delete it and download it again???

Of course I have tried deleting/reinstall, even on two different pc's ;) hehe, anyway, It's working, but wery enoying to get rid of those messages every time :) sure hope someone has experienced what I do :)

They have nothing to do with Terragen .
They are used by Adobe Premiere .
So if you have it its trying to install them .

Where did you get Ter. from ?

Well, I don't have Premiere, not even a old, deleted install who messes up the regestry. hm, but maby Pinnacle Studio uses them. Anyway, I can't see why it's trying to install them while I'm starting terragen, there is no connection between those two. I got ter. from the official website :) hm, but I'll look into pinnacle and se if I can find the proper .msi, I do'nt know if it's gonna make any good, but maby I get rid of that enoying message ;) hehe.. but, I'm open to sugestions ;)

Well, for the record, Pinnacle Studios has a bad rep with me. I've used their PCTV Studio with no problems on my older machines (Win 98 & Win ME) - until I tried to install it on my daughter's new notebook with XP. Nearly killed the thing - it overwrote some files, messed with the registry, ended up killing off the drivers for the audio, cameoscope, and DVD all in one swoop!

That may or may not have anything to do with this, but when I heard Pinaccle, my antennae shot up.

Well, PStudio worsk fine for me, no problem what so ever, but I guess Studio and what u are dealing with ai'nt exactly the same :) Anyway, yes, it seems like studio might have something to do with my problem, however, I have no idea WHY, and how to fix it. Studio is the only program using Smartsound, but, Smartsound IS installed, why do Terragen want to install it when terragen do'nt USE smartsound whatsover?! well, I guess this is a classic type of problem, with no obvius solution before one stubmle over it. But if any of u have any clue, or THINK u have any clue for a fix... bring it on :)

Judee, I thought it was just my bad day. I have had similar problems with PStudio! Damn that one program :waffen093 ! It took nearly 10 hours before I repaired all of the problems I got with it.
Lehnerd, sorry but I can't be of any help. Have you tried to address to the Terragen home-site? (support@planetside.co.uk)

The problem is that during installation the some of the files got corrupted…..you will need to re-install terragen, but before you do that, you may have to scrub your registry using a third party program like Karen registry Ripper….take a look here: http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptregrip.asp.
