My reasons for this choice, again out of an almost impossible line-up of excellent pictures, are that this is just so simple in its impact, beautiful in its colour-palette and for me, it holds a good balance and the visual impact needed to make me want to keep clicking on its thumbnail and look yet again..

Now this is a stunning image. I overwork everything, lol, but this is a true beauty! It takes a special talent to create what we call a simple image that gives such a dramatic impact. Bravo!!!!

For this week, I have chosen an image by Vjera, for two reasons - well three actually...

I want to encourage her in the face of a lot of personal adversity!

Vjera has started branching out from fractals and photography, into using Bryce as part of her MM work.

This particular picture evokes a true feeling of being in a very lonely place, both physically, and maybe in life itself. It has a mystical feel about it, and the colours employed fit the ethos well (in my opinion).

Please remember, these choices are very hard to make, and my intentions are to include as many or you as possible as time goes by - you are all excellent in the work you produce!

ppetersen's "Poetry in Motion"

This is a beautiful example of her hand-art scanned in then mixed with Apophysis and treated with filtering etc. inside PSP9, and I think the resulting image is magical, especially with the fae's stance and expression, the bubbles and and stars.

Thanks everyone and thanks Nicky. I really enjoyed doing that pic. sometimes I do things rather a round about way with results I could probably get easier another way, but thats me. I really like esperimenting and this was a big experiment. From the texturing to the fractals to putting them together and using PS and PSP on it.
