My muse struck me today at work and whenever I had spare time (ok, I had a lot of spare time) I pieced together a poem using the format of a song that had been in the back of my mind while writing it.
Without going into too much detail (I'd like the end result to be something of a surprise) I will say the words used are VERY powerful and emotionally charged. It is not a happy song, but a dark poem as it touches on the ongoing conflict in the the Middle East right now and there is a lot of hate and anger involved.
If you like or have heard Rob Zombie - he wrote the words to the song I was listening to - (and if you've seen and of The Matrix or its sequels, then you've heard him - remember when Neo met Trinity for the first time?) then that will give you some idea of the impression I am after.
