I've come across a few animation links I think would be useful for anyone exploring this side of the creative outlet. They can be used for 2d or 3d work.

Animation and Visual FX (http://animation.digitalmedianet.com/headlines/tutorials.htm) - some tutorials for Maya, After Effects and Cinema 4D. Also has an excellent rigging tutorial
Animation World Magazine (http://mag.awn.com/) - an online animation magazine - good to keep up with the latest news and reviews
Computer Animation (http://www.siggraph.org/education/materials/HyperGraph/animation/anim0.htm) - this takes you through the basic principles
Strange Attractors (http://www.abc.net.au/arts/strange/) -particularly good if you're doing Flash
Animation Mentor (http://www.animationmentor.com) - a place offering courses to get online assistance for animation
Cartoon Animation (http://www.freetoon.com/) - a place for cartoon animation in English and French
Animation Factory (http://www.animationfactory.com/) - graphics you can download
The 10 Second Club (http://10secondclub.net/) - a place that has a monthy contest to animate a 10 second sound clip from a movie.
Animation Express (http://www.wired.com/animation/index.html) - a place to view what other animatiors are coming up with

BBC Motion Gallery (http://www.bbcmotiongallery.com/customer/index.jsp) - not an animation place as such, but here you can find all sorts of refence files to use to help in animating. Want to see how a frog really jumps? Or what muscles birds use when they fly? This is the place to find that out and study the clips.
