Do you want a new photography challenge and if so do you have any suggestions about a theme for it. I understand that most people work with 3D-graphics, so photography might not be the main topic here at IT.
So is it something particular you want to discuss or ask donīt be shy.
Postwork, Photoshop, Paint shop pro, Photoimpact or any program....
Just trying to boost the photography forum a bit *LOL*

I love photography but unfortunetly I don't get out of the house much to be able to do it. And with winter here its hard for me to even get to car to go to store.

But I might suggest things like trees.. interesting trees winter or summer... Or how about architecture... my fav thing is Landscapes. Or how about something like around your town.

I have just a old Minolta X-300 no digital one, problem is you must go buy a film than take a few shots than developing the photo's this takes time and it cost more, with digital you take one shot and hup photo on the computer ,well if you use film (min 12 photo's) you must pay film and the developing of the foto's too.

That's why I do not enter for the photography challenge.

well I love your morphs pictures, maybe also a good theme ?

How about a macro shot or close-up of somehing familiar, a household object and then we could also combine it with a 'guess what this is' competition ... just a thought :)

Sea/River/Lake - lots of water and lots of reflections?

When I worked in B/W film, everything was about shadow and light. I would love to try something along that line using my digital camera and PSP to get the B/W look.

Oh I like Miriahs idea of Black and white. You can use psp to change it if you take it on your digital.. Black and white phtography is wonderful, I think you see way more in that than in color. Yeah I like that idea!

Interesting, but I'm not sure it would be possible, would it? Don't you have to have a special infrared camera???? Now you have me interested. LOL

I found this at RDR about Infrared. Maybe you can make heads or tails of it :eyepoppin
Comes from: TwoPynts
Camera Used: Olympus C-8080, Hoya R72 Filter & PhotoshopCS
Details: For those interested, here is my basic methodology for postworking an infrared photograph.

I open the file in Photoshop and first I use Auto Levels, then fade it a bit if necessary. I minimize the hot spot as much as possible using a series of circular feathered selections and levels adjustments. Being long exposures from an unconverted camera, they are quite noisy and I then use the dust & scratches filter to get rid of the worst offenders. Before that though, I used the cloning tool to get rid of any really big hot pixels.

The rest of this depends on the image. I sometimes use the Shadows/Highlight adjustment to even out the tones a bit. Then I copy the layer and 'multiply' it to darken things up a bit, fading the opacity until it looks right. I then heavily sharpen that layer. Since it is mostly transparent, it is not as harsh as you may think. I flatten it, reduce the size in stages -- slightly sharpening along the way. Toning in the hue/saturation adjustment is done at the end. Add a frame and title and viola, finished.

as I said; :eyepoppin

It sounds to me like postwork on an infrared shot because they talk about hot spots, etc. I wonder if there is a filter out there to use in photoshop or psp that would "fake it" .LOL
