Lets have a little poll and see who is using what version of Poser. Personally I use Poser 5 with SR4.1 and have the advantage (or disadvantage) of not having used any other version - so perhaps learning the complexities of P5 was a bit easier as I had nothing to compare it with. Thats not to say however that I have yet mastered it :imslow:

I'm the same as you Angela :)
Poser5 from the start which was back in January this year
(never even heard of Poser much before that but now look at me - a total addict :worship:
I use firefly now that SR4.1 has fixed my lighting bugs and love to do reflections and complex materials - still heaps to learn though :reading:
I have Photoshop Elements for postwork (and hadn't done that before either lol)

Mainly Photoshop 7 and various filters, I use Intellihance a lot and scatterlight - both indispensible. I use Paint shop pro 9 for other things - it depends on the effect what I want. I have to say that sometime it is just experimentation - try it and see if it works  If it does great, and if it doesn't......back to the drawing board :sprint:

Poser 5 - but I have a lot of time in front of me to improve my skill! At the moment I'm using Max, Cinema4D and ZBrush2... postwork with Photoshop or Painter 8.

Poser 5 seems to be the tool of choice. Are any of you experts at the hair room yet?? Or the cloth room??? Want to share any hints and tips that may help less experienced users? Feel free to post whatever hints and tips you would like to pass on. :blowkiss:

I do all my postwork in either PSP6 which I love its the best of all them I think, and PS7.

Poser 5 and Photoshop for postwork :) Did someone say Hair room *runs and hides* I've opened it exactly twice in the last year or so I've had Poser 5 and closed it just as quickly when what I came up with looked like a sick porcupine, LOL.

You are doing better than me then, if you managed to produce something that looked even vaguely recognisable - my efforts looked like an explosion in a horse hair sofa!!

i did venture into hair room once got hair looking great but everytime i rendered the model would vanish and only the hair would render rofl was very new to poser then. With great hair out there like those of Mr kozaburo I don't feel the need to venture back there lol
with the cloth room I use it only for dynamic clothes and can actually do it with out the tutorials occasionally :beerchug:
