... I have played with Bryce 6, have played with the old Kai Krause GUI and still think that they should change it. I know Kai Krause (he is a german) from other software like KPT or Goo (meta creations) and ... Bryce. Using this kind of GUI I feel no good. I feel good using Vue, Cinema, 3ds Max, Maya, Houdini and other 3D stuff, but what about the Bryce interface? I don't like it and close it.
What do you think about it??

There are good things about the Bryce GUI, for instance, it is very easy to learn. I learned it in only a couple of weeks. I do believe they should add a multiple view screen to it like the one they have in other major software where you can see top, rightside, leftside and your render/main camera POV all at the same time or any combination of it. But I really like the morphing tools at the top where I can quickly highlight the mesh to morph and resize it, move it, twist it, turn it, align it or edit it very quickly. As much as I Love Vue6, ( And I Really Love Vue6), I find that I am not able to move a mesh as quickly or resize it in the same manner as in Bryce. BUT, the best thing I like about Bryce is that I can use IBL and I do not have to use the IBL-image as my background. I can use the sky I pick and it's background with the lighting part only from the IBL. If you can do that in Vue, PLEASE Tell me how, I would love to know. When I pick an HDRImage for my IBL in Vue I can not turn off the Image background, but still keep the light. LOL, I do not think you meant for this to turn into a "Help Me", but any on Vue IBL would be much appreciated :nod::nod::nod::nod:

I don't like to model in it - but it is easer to learn than many others - and add DazStudio and you are good to go .:beerchug:

I get irritated with Bryce. The lighting capabilities are wonderful, if you can get the program to render in less than a week. LOL It eats up resources like a starving man! It is easier to move, resize, etc. things than in Vue, but Vue produces so much better render quality for so much less time, even in my limited version of Easel. I honestly don't use Bryce very much anymore.

Have not tested higher then bryce5 yet and can agree on the light issue named above. A similair case if you set atmosphere to volumatric in the skylab
But I personally think eats ressourses and render for a week can be accomplished with patience and dedication.
Bryce gets you where ever you want to go: Abstract, Fantacy, Nature, Scifi...... Bryce let's it happen ya!
When it comes to modelling there are better alternatives though.....

I don't want the GUI changed. Bryce is unique and that's what makes it Bryce. I don't want to use software that all looks the same.
