My .WMV files not working!!

Hi!!

I know I posted about this problem before when I was on dialup.

Well recently, I was reconnected with the cable modem/connection, and when I try my uploaded animations/.wmv files, they don't play for me!!

Anyone can help me with this?

I tested this out by playing LFN Will Never Die and found it worked for me. Have you done any updates to your computer or to Windows Media Player? I'm still using WM9, but I hear WM10 is out.

Hi, and thanks for responding.

Sorry it's taken me this long to get this message, but I haven't been online for several days.

Okay, I did recently upgrade my media player to 9, and works fine when I upload them to Homestead.com, for one example.

I do have that regular windows update reminder that comes up once a day that I have been ignoring and telling it to remind me tomorrow, for awhile now, due to time limitations, and being in a hurry.

It always takes you to the windows updates page, and gives you a list of things you should and/or can download, (or whatever), so I'm never quite sure if the things on the list are everything I need, or only some of them.

Anyway, I will try my doing the windows update thing next time the reminder pops up, and see if that helps.

And in the meantime, I'm going to delete the fractal I just uploaded today, and try uploading another wmv. file in it's place, and see if that one works for me, or if it's the same thing, since I'm uploading it from cable this time and not dial up.

Just curious if that makes a difference in how it works or doesn't work for me.

Okay, the new upload working fine now. And tested some of the older ones, they all played this time too.

Go figure!!! LOL

Maybe it was my pc .. a temporary glitch or something the last time.

But I guess I will do those windows updates the next time the reminder pops up at me anyway....
