I am working on my pic for the challenge. I decided this time to do it all up with fine rendering. I checked "premium" and depth of field, and when it rendered (I did a small image to test...it still took forever) Anyway, it rendered the foreground all blurry, as though it were the background. There is a focal length box(and lens radius) and I had no clue what to put in there. The image would have been perfect if it had rendered with the background fuzzy and the fore clear. LOL Any ideas here?

It's just that after all this time of working with the program, it would be nice to produce an image that didn't need obvious postwork. (we will NOT mention my lack of talent with these programs as a partial cause) LOL It hasn't happened yet. You are totally right about the good render engine being a resource hog, and for the most part not worth the effort. It just freezes up solid on my other computer. O.K. I'll just render as usual and enter that. It's all in fun anyway, right?
