If you have a background for others to use please post a URL here...
These are only ones you have made yourself and have posted here at one time or another....if you want to share your picture for a collaboration this is the place to do so....I have just put one in the Freebies called World with a LightShow..... http://dragonwizardsvoyages.com/pictures/worldwithalightshow.jpg so enjoy.....DW :headbang:

if the URL to an image is posted here, then it is assumed that the artist is happy for anyone to use the image without further asking any permissions. :beerchug:

We appreciate your generosity..it is refreshing and will certainly be put to excellent use... maybe a posting as a freebie here in the freebies section...a lot of people from a few different disciplines will be able to make great use of these....Bravo my friend... :work:

To anyone who may make good use of this: you are free to use all of my renderosity gallery images as backgrounds for your Poser / other program renders, as soon as you give credits for them, and do message me, so that I can see and save a copy of the result for my personal collection! I'd love to see my Terragen images used for this purpose, so please help yourselves!
BTW, I'll try to get more and more images to IT gallery, too!

For now:

Furthermore, if anyone would be willing to do some kind of collab, and needed a background, we could get in contact for me to know which kind of terragen work would she/he need, and do it from scratch!

Hi Revenant - Brilliant work!!! Can you create any kind of background? I have just filmed a short s16mm drama and we need a few touch-ups and background mattes (for compsiting into our shots). We are getting the telecine back tomorrow so I can post some still frames from the shoot.

Brief Description of the things we need doing:

1) Add snow to the mountains in our shots from The Lake District
2) Create a wall to place behind our actress (green screen shot), it is supposed to be an executive style office
3) Add some expressive clouds for some shots

We have a professional compositor to add your scenery/mattes into the shot. Our last film has just been nominated for a couple of awards at a well known film festival in the UK and we intend to submit this too.

In return for your help, you would recieve a credit on the film and a copy of the DVD/VHS.

Let me know what you think, cheers.

Hmmm, Dazabrit have you posted your question in a few of the other forums to see if anyone there is willing to take on some of the challenges? I'd have a go at the wall if I knew I could have the time available to do it, but high chances are someone else will be able to give it a go.

Hi Rumour, I haven't posted in other forums yet because I want to be able to add some still frames from the rushes (I am getting them back in about 3 hours time). I'd be very happy for you and anybody/everybody else to have a crack at whatever they want on the project. Any input will recieve a credit and DVD. Do you have MSN? - Coz I'm Online now.

Cheers. Darrell :bounce:

Darrell, I have no problem in doing anything that my current Terragen program skills could do. That's scenic backgrounds, skies, clouds, snow etc... You know from my gallery. Other things, like interiors are better left to someone with skill in other programs.
I'd do my part with pleasure!
Just let me know where am I to find shots, and people to confront with, for this project. I'll be unfortunately back on Monday, as I am taking a couple of days break, but you can PM me with all of the information you consider fit.
Thanks,
Rev

Dazabrit...you were a little vague on your needs for the green screen office shot...

It would be a big help if I knew how the actor was to be placed in the shot...full shot?...medium?...close up? Is the actor standing?...sitting? If sitting...is she/he at a desk/table? What size and format do you want the final image?

...at any rate...I threw this together as a starting point. Just a basic wall with some bits of intrest to stand in front of.

If you want more or modifications...let me know.

...FYI: I have my own digital video editing system and have the capability to work with most standard formats...if there is anything beyond a background you might need help with...I'll do what I can to help.

Sorry about the vague posts, I have been busy filming the production and so I haven't really had time to get on here and talk about it in full detail. I have just got the rushes back on Digi-Beta, I will post some stills later on so you can see the plates that we need to work with. I think the wall is going to be pretty basic (white/textured wall with certificates from the psychiatrist's degree qualifications).

Cheers. Darrell :eyepoppin

This wall is much more basic...is this more what you have in mind?
...of course I'm still guessing on the perspective needed.

Dazabrit

Yeah, it has to be very basic (perspectives right too). I have been so busy today (editing/compositing) that I had forgot about posting the pics on this thread. This is one of the shots I have been working on today with some of my collabs crew from CG Talk. (I will definately post the other office shots tomorrow, i need to upload them to a website and then link them).

Here we go...

Sorry about the other pics not being online yet - I'll make sure I do it first thing tomorrow! Like I said, your perspective is correct though.

Thanks peeps. Darrell ;)

Okie doh, I managed to do it. (I've posted some non-vfx stills to so you can see the style/quality of the movie).

Cheers everyone. Darrell :worship:

Here's a quickie for the first shot...did some touchup to remove the greenish tint from her hair.

I'll have to rework the angle a little for the second shot...but I'll have to do that later...I'll be gone most of today...I'll try to have it up tonight or in the morning.

...? Changes? ...? Suggestions? ...? Comments?

Hi again, it looks pretty much how it should be. It is basic (which I asked for). If you head over to CG Networks again you can see what the others have been doing with the pics I posted. (we are starting to get a bit of an archive going)

Cheers. Darrell

Well here's the 2 images...I re-worked the background for the long shot then zoomed in to a close up...so the proportional relationship is matained between the 2 shots.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions...let me know.

I just joined CGTalk yesterday...but did not have time to do much looking around...I will try to get there today.

Cool, keep up the good work. Look forward to seeing you around on CG Talk. The Uncompressed scene is going to be available in the next couple of days.
