I uploaded a fractal animation into my gallery last night, then today received an email notification that it was deleted. The email gave a whole list of reasons why it could have been deleted. It's okay, I don't mind, but I am curious to know why this one was deleted. I've uploaded fractal animations before, with no problems...:)

Hi Carol!! (Is Carol ok for short?)

The deletion was no big deal, I uploaded another fractal in it's place.

I'm just wondering what was wrong with that one in particular, I'm not mad about it or anything. I'm sure there was a good reason. After all, I love this site mainly because you can upload WMV's, and animations, so I've done them in the past...you know what I mean, jelly bean? ;)

Okay lets make it simple do you have any links to any program that can be used for this forum or used to make the formats allowed in the gallery would be nice to have a list of programs available for the formats required here. Thanks Reg latersssss Carolyn

All I know is, I have never had to download any additional programs to use the forums here, or to post any animations, pics, links, etc, that I already had on here.

If you want new programs to make new imagery/animations with, then that's a different story of course...

The toolbar above each box where you type your post/comments, has a lot there, with the emoticons (as I see them) to the right, with a link for "more" emoticons, then you'll get a pop up box with more emoticons to choose from.

You know I was going to then I thought the name isn't right cause there are others making them and sharing so what about a thread for Everyone who posts animations in forums I think there are at least 2 others who post once in awhile If i was to start posting more then I'd have to go with the site size thing and post in the galleries but for sharing like this you start the thread lol infact I will say this if anyone wants any of these as an avator let me know I can resize them easily and remove the words no problem at all.

I don't think it should be just for me should be for everyone wanting to share these kind. These are real animations all done by hand. Open it as Everyone post your animations here. or something to that affect. that way everyone can post in one thread ...

That's a good idea!! At least, there'd be one thread where anyone interested will know where to find them, the animations, and can share any if they wish.

I'll post instructions, if necessary, because animations in the forums, have to be linked from elsewhere, you can't upload them from your pc.

And, the file sizes of the animations shouldn't be so large as to "overload" the thread, causing some people's pc's to freeze up (like mine does a lot), and doesn't use up IT's bandwidth/storage space, ok? :)
