I've used all of them, but find myself returning to Fractal Explorer most often. I'm a big SterlingWare fan, too!

Is Sterlingware Free then?? and if it is - where can I get it?? I have been looking for it and found galleries of images, but no links to the actual site, but then that could be me not looking properly :sherlock:

Apophysis! No contest! (At least for me)! I have used Fractal Explorer the most. Also I enjoy ChaosPro. But nothing beats Apophysis. It is the most intuitive program I have ever used!

Fractal Explorer is my favorite, with Apo and XD running a close second. (except XD isn't free, lol)

Another Apo convert here!

Being a bit of a geek (ok a big geek) Apophysis appeals to my love of the abstract as an artform.

I've dabbled with some of the other graphics apps out there, and none has managed to hold my attention or enthusiasm for very long... but Apophysis is definitely a stayer so far.

I love the fact that every time you open up the program, there is a new random batch of flames just waiting to be tweaked every which way one can imagine - the only limit is one's imagination as far as I can see... it's also great for reflecting one's mood, if you will, flames produced can be totally different depending on my mood... maybe I'm in a delicate and detailed mood, or I'm in a bold, bright mood, or a dark and brooding mood - Apo lets me express that - and that is what really keeps me interested...
