I just finished using the demo download over at Renderosity. I do like this application a lot, though, especially since my background is traditional painting. I was just blown away by the enhanced functionality (I last looked at the Painter Classic that came with my Graphire tablet). The new Artists' brushes and palette mixer are most impressive, but what I like is the range of effects from watercolour up to impasto oils. It also is a lot more responsive and therefore much easier to sketch with. The Rendo demo was also save enabled, which made things a lot nicer. I do suggest you download the demo and take it for a spin. Unfortunately my only hope of getting more than the demo is to win a full copy, or find one on the road.

oups - time goes by...
I'm using Painter IX and this program is a very good companion to Photoshop - the way Painter brings out different brushes on endles paper styles is great. Painter can read the psd-format with most of the different layer types but special layers like gradient layers for example.
Working or playing with this software is amazing!
