A big G'Day from DownUnder!

Hi there all.

My name is tdierikx (tee-dear-icks) and I'm a relative newbie to computer art... read not very good at it yet... lol!

I recently (finally) found the Apophysis flame fractal program, and I'm hooked!

During my forays into the Apophysis mailing list, I met a wonderful lady who is a member here, and she ever so kindly gave me the link to this place - I'm so glad that she did! This place is great!

I've had a bit of a looky at some of the wonderful artwork here (sorry, no comments posted as yet) - and am totally blown away by the sheer volume of talent this place hosts...

I have my own gallery on my own host where I've posted some of my Apophysis works, so I probably won't be taking too much advantage of the gallery space here (save our gracious host a small bit of his/her bandwidth/space costs)

I live in Sydney, Australia, am a mainframe Computer Operator by trade, and a PC Technician as a hobby. I'm a total internet freak, and a geek of the highest order... lol!

Welcome aboard! Always glad to see a new face,a nd since we have quite a few people using Apophysis I'm sure you'll fit right in and be able to give plenty of tips and ask questions so that the rest of us can learn too.

Thank you Engel47... I'll have to select carefully though... the quality of the art here is phenomenal. I wouldn't want to bring down the tone of the place now... lol!

Thanks vos - I'll have to sort through my stuff and see if there is anything that might be good enough to hang here... lol!

I have a few (read about 120 images) stored in my own personal gallery if anyone is interested... maybe people could suggest which of my various styles would be best suited to be hanging here?

Hmm, you want US to decide what you should put up here? Let me say that you, as the creator, have the right to decide what you want seen, and the sole charge of what style you want to portray. Whether you put up your favourites, or what takes your mood for that day, it'll all be welcomed no matter what the style of it is. There's no rules on this (barring those that might be deemed objectionable - see TOS) and sometimes a varying style shows more of the artist's talent that sticking to just one. I'd love to see them all up here. :gallery:

Hehe - I spawn the things almost continuously at the moment... I've even installed Apophysis on my computer at work... (naughty me) - as well as 2 machines here at home...

I have a few days off work soon - I'll have to select a few that I think show my diversity a bit, and post them then, OK?
