If you wish to stop being told when a new post has been made to a thread there is an easy way to do it - You need to go to "User CP" - you will see the 3rd option in the control panel (left side of the window) is subscribed threads - click on "List Subscriptions" - and there you will see any threads that you are subscribed to ( I just checked mine and was suprised to find 6 pages) - place a tick in the box at the far right of the threads you no longer wish to subscribe to - then come down to the bottom of the window and use the drop down box to either unsubscribe or delete subscription! You can also use this drop down box to change the way you get your thread notifications - you can set it to instant notification or daily if you prefer. If set to daily - you get just one notication per day with all the posts listed in chronological order. Hope this helps for those that were wondering how to stop the notifications :fork:
BTW did you know that as soon as you post in a thread you are subscribed to that thread? You can unsubscribe straight away by clicking the thread tools at the top of the message you just posted, and clicking unsubscribe if you don't wish to be notified when anyone replies. :sprint: You can always subscribe to an interesting thread in the same way - when clicking subscribe to thread you will be taken to a new window that asks you how often you wish to be notified of new posts - instant, daily, weekly or never.
