Upload limits?

Hi,
I uploaded one image today, I just tried to upload a second and I get a message saying "You have exceeded your upload limit of 1 images per day. "I thought the welcome e-mail said that we could upload 2 images a day. Thansk for any help :)

Sorry - I am not sure what the welcome e-mail message says (not seen it for a long time) but the limit was dropped to one a day by the site owner, many many months ago :( You can purchase a "premier" membership which allows 3 uploads per day for just $24.99 a year, which is good value at just over $2 a month or just about 48 cents a week :work:

I remember when we got ours and it did say the same thing well knowing me I knew I would want to post more so we did go ahead and purchase the premium, actually that is really inexpensive compared to other sites. Think about it we'd love to see more of your wonderful posts :sing:

I just checked in the Admin section and the welcome mail that new members recieve says:

Send Welcome Email
Welcome to Innertraveler! Everyone is allowed one upload per 24 hours! You are invited to join the Forums, as well as the Gallery and you are encouraged to leave comments on the work of your fellow artists. Enjoy.

So that being said I am not sure why anyone is recieving the old, original greeting. Carolyn recalls the old greeting but then she has been a member here since 6th January of this year according to her profile (thought it was longer myself, but there you go) and also strange that no other new members have complained about this, and everyone gets the same welcome message - you would think we would have had several complaints by now :confused: Padawancats did you keep the welcome message you got?

Your right Angie I think right after we joined it got changed remember about the time of the pay for to post 3 per day I think I'm not positive but I do believe that was about the time it did get properly changed lol I like what you said "according to her profile (thought it was longer myself, but there you go)" lol mean I've given you headaches for that long already lol lol or maybe thats why you thought we'd been here longer lol lol just kidding with you lol... boy there has been some fun and strange times since lol.

I don't have my letter from when I joined but I swore it said 2 images a day also. thats what surprised me when it only allowed me one. I don't mind just one a day the kind of work I do takes a long time to do sometimes. And right now I can't afford to pay. But again I did think it said 2 a day.

I did keep it, but it's on my computer so I can't get to it, at least not until I can figure out how to fix it. Right now, I'm unemployed, so I can't afford to subscribe right now :(

To test the theory, I signed up under a new user name to see what message I got, and lo and behold it did tell me two uploads! Not that I didn't believe you, but Angela did find the welcome message saying one upload per 24 hours and we're both stumped as to where it could be coming from? :confused: WE've searched all the obvious places we can think of and will keep looking, because it MUST be coming from somewhere, but sometimes it feels like we're driving blind trying to figure things out! :wow:

Sorry for any confusion Padawancats, I hope you'll stick with us, and thanks for bringing this to our attention. It makes me wonder how long it's been there since we've had only one upload, and why no one else has mentioned it!

Now I uploaded an image yesterday. I just tried to upload another image and it says I've exceeded my upload limit for today, but I haven't uploaded anything today. :confused:

Thats because they don't consider the change of a day say from midnight to 1 am a day change. it has to be 24 hours between uploads. So if you upload at say 1 pm your time you won't be able to upload til the next day at 1:01 pm etc.

Yeah, i got the same 2-per-day limit message too when i signed up & that 24 hours from last post policy throws me too sometimes.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot we can do about the upload limit, since it's a design issue (flaw?) with vBulletin that Inner Traveler uses. The only way to change that is to switch completely to another system for the gallery and forums.
