This is just a collection to the links of the most respected and skilled Terragen artists out there. I'll link you some :gallery: , for our eyes to behold, (and learn, why not), but anyone can feel free to add their own favourites!
My own...

Luc Bianco (http://lucbianco.free.fr/index_en.html) works are among the most realistic done with Terragen. He possesses a great skill for postwork to give his images a vivid and real look.

Cyphyxx (http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Y&Artist=Cyphixx&Form.sess_id=43607137&Form.sess_key=1121777094) is possibly my all- time favourite for the atmospheres. A must see for all those who like spectacular skies and light settings!

LutzB (http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Y&Artist=LutzB) Is the master of surfaces. But his images are top-notch under all aspects!

Mmm, I forgot to mention the great Rids, who's recently more involved in Vue works (but with great results, too), which has always been a favourite of mine.

*sigh* Kind of makes you want to just slip into their universe and stay forever.

@ Q.R., and what about *creating* our universes, with the right programs and a bit of skill? :D
Me, myself, I am far from being a perfect TG artist, still I've made images I am proud of, and created places I'd like to visit at once!

Well, I'm not really skilled with my little freebie version of Terragen, but I love to work in it...mostly atmo/mood things with little solid terrain. I even like it better than Bryce for those types of things. But, I will never be like those mentioned above. I guess i don't have the time or, to be honest, the interest in putting myself fully into learning all that needs to be learned to produce those wonderous images. I'm a dabbler with a vivid imagination, but lack the skills to really bring my visions to life. LOL Besides, viewing other's "universes" allows me to dream big!

hé Q.R. I also have only the little freebie version of Terragen, and I have still a lot to learn,You can learn from Revenant suggestions,I did.
I like to see a Terragen pic from you and I am sure Revenant also!!!
Maby we must ask for a challenge, that would be fun!!!

I think a challenge would be wonderful if it was broad based enough for everyone who dabbles in Terragen. (so they wouldn't be too intimidated to even try) I like to use them in mixed medium stuff.....I'm including one that i used in a pic I have in my gallery.

Very lovely terragen work. I agree would love to see a terragen challenge and maybe one that you could use postwork on if you liked..

I've seen dozens of amazing images which include only the sky and water. You can get some magnificent effects fiddling with the controls. I've finally begun to learn how to 'surface' the terrain, lots of studying went into it. LOL... felt like I was back in school. The best part about TG is that with either version -- registered or unresgistered you can get some super effects and some great realistic scenery. This is all good if you want to use it in other programs too for it adds to either your Poser/Bryce work or whatever model you would like to place on the 'universe' you've created.

I will say it was one of the easiest for me to learn. I had so many problems trying to figure out Poser way back I tossed it and gave to someone. Same for a few others. This suited me perfectly...

Gosh guys I do know all of the names listed plus more Chornor, Dothy many great Terragen artists at Rendo one reason why I will not post there. One thing that baffles me is the post work being used now in Terragen, Now I do no post work I fine it hard to do when I first started in Terragen, Poser, Fractals etc there was no such thing as doing post work , it was the program itself that did it all or you simply failed.. so that is why I'm a stickler for the program only image. ok so I'm old fashion it is just the way I was taught and learned the hard way from Rendo at the time you just did not do any post work in any gallery. I've never gotton over all the chewing outs I got from the so called masters....Yes Rids is an awesome Terragan person so many are, I guess that is why I stick with the Atmo's , I really don't care much for Terrains but do love my atmo's it has always been my favorite if only you could see some of my older work you would know why I stay with Atmo's.

Yes a challenge would be good seems like for me and this doesn't matter what gallery it is in. I tend to do my worst in a challenge, but you can count on Ron and I to at least submit 1.........How would you do the challenge I know in most cases a terrain is given and everyone uses that one, yet being the first challenge maybe just do what everyone wants is a better idea.

well whatever you decided I am sure we both will participate. I just hope we can get more people interested seems to be the same people in each challenge. :(

take care guys laters :auto:

Even the ones listed who's work is so great do postwork. All of them now. And some are now using real clouds rather than the Terragen ones. That is achieved by doing the land only, or land and water and then adding to a photographed sky. Some gorgeous ones, but like you Carolyn I'm a stickler for the program itself. There is only two adjustments I make usually besides adding a bird or like my last one a shadowed figure, I usually add more 'gamma' which is a control inside terragen itself, but doesn't always lend the richness to the tones, and a 'histriogram' adjustment which also does the same, it intensifies the colors.

My question to those people would be are you that insecure that you have to use a photo of an atmo, nope why have a terragen program if you have to go that far is making a decent atmo, seems a bit childish to me. sure adding like you do is not what I am referring as I know you know what I mean, wow I just have a hard time wonderful about some of these people so ridiculous in my books..

Boy a few years ago you would have been run off from Terragen and Fractals for any post work. can't belive this Pat :disbelief so wrong to me.
