Following a suggestion from Pat (ppeterson) I have rendered a nude, bald V3. She is in a simple pose and well lit. She is on plain background which should make it easy for you to extract her. :bounce:

We want to see what all you many and varied artists can make of her. Clothing and hair painting, background painting etc. I deliberatley left her large sized (1000x1000 pixels) to assist you in your endevours. :wow:

Do with her what you will, but be gentle, she's a sensitive girl, then post your final image in the gallery with the word Collaboration in the title to make it easy to spot :boogie:

The image can be found in the Nudity gallery, coz, well, she is a nude. Here (http://www.innertraveler.com/publicgallery/showphoto.php?photo=15665&cat=500&page=1)

No prizes I'm afraid, this one is just for fun just now.

Do you have a paint program? Photoshop, paintshop or what have you? Perhaps a nice terragen background that you did yourself, and paint a dress on her :D I know, it sounds so easy and I cannot paint for toffee :D But I will have a go!! I will see if I can paint her some clothes and hair! There has to be a first time for everything..........Right?

Hey Carolyn - neither can I :imslow: What I did was use the magnetic lasso tool in Photoshop - draw round her outline for the trousers, copied and pasted to a new layer and then filled the result with a pattern!! Same for the waistcoat effort, It was dead easy - and probably not the way it should be done, but it worked

Engel47
20th July 2005, 11:08
Ok - Here is a simple step by step to how I did what wile1 calls the "painting texturing thingy" :D

This is for Paintshop 7 but I am sure the same thing applies to most paint applications:

First using the Magnetic lasso whatsit I went round her lower torso and legs to get a trousers shaped piece.

Engel47
20th July 2005, 11:08
Next - whilst the "marching ants" are active CTRL C then CTRL V to paste the selection to a new layer.

Engel47
20th July 2005, 11:09
Turn off the background image and you have this:

Engel47
20th July 2005, 11:14
Make sure your "legs" are selected and expand the selection slightly (I did by 2 pixels).

Now find the texture you want you to use. Anything you have hanging around. (I have turned on the background again here - you don't have too)

Engel47
20th July 2005, 11:17
Now, with your texture image selected go to Edit - Define Pattern and give your pattern a name - close the texture image - your "trousers" should still be active and still have the "marching ants" around them - select the flood fill tool - change it from colour to Pattern - choose the pattern you just named and there you go - flood fill away - whilst the layer is still active add a drop shadow, deselect - turn your background back on - BINGO!!

Engel47
20th July 2005, 13:53
And that's what's it all about - the trying - who knows, you may discover you have amazing talents in the hair and clothing painting department, just think how much money that will save you :D

Ehehe heres the second challenge:

http://www.innertraveler.com/public...php?photo=15678

This of course goes with the below challenge... and it's for fine art, as well as computer generated. Any and all sorts of programs can be used.

Here is your challenge if you dare to take up the gauntlet and run with your imagination.

This challenge is open to all artists in Inner Traveler. You will copy the image posted here:

http://www.innertraveler.com/public...php?photo=15665

You may of course change the image any way you see fit. You may add clothing, background, texturing, etc. in your graphics programs whichever is the one you use. Or you can draw it. If you hand draw, you can also add or give her any sort of look you wish. Be creative, use the imagination... fly high with this one.

I will be posting a second challenge along similar lines but it will be a line drawing rather than a poser figure.

Both challenges are open to all artists whether traditional, fine art, poser, bryce etc.

Good luck to everyone and once I've posted the second picture I will add a link to it here... Good luck everyone...

Now I'm off to grab the graphite and have a go at Angies :))) ehehe...

Engel47
20th July 2005, 17:01
Hmmmm - I get page cannot be found for both those links Pat! :cries:

How long do we have to work on these two before you change them???

Boy it has been fun seeing all the different ways people have done them

I'm pretty limited to psp7 only so whatever I do thats going to be it guys
I will say I never do post work on poser very rare and today was the very first time I tried hair ,the image I do was the second one of her, I must say I especially like working with a poser model, affraid of touching the other one yet. lol I'll try but can't for a few days

Thanks lady's this is fun I must say it's made me think more on how to do different things, everyone has done as awesome job ..

Thanks to Pat and Angela

off for now :auto: be back later on

I was wondering the same thing about the time limit. Anyway, I just grabbed the other image, but don't know when I can play with it.

21st July 2005, 11:28
Glad to see you doing the second one, I really seriously don't dare touch her.

I'll let you be the honoree lol...j/k Miriah. good luck with her.

Engel47
21st July 2005, 12:14
Hmm, Time limit - never really thought about that - What say you Pat - how long before we post another "challenge" image?

ppetersen
21st July 2005, 23:21
LOL how about another two weeks or one week. Up to you all.

And Carolyn you had b etter touch that... think fractal overlay etc, lots can be done to that.. perhaps a surreal image.. Shoot it's only a sketch which is why i did it, and it's not the finished image I did with her. One of the reasons i keep my 'doodles' as I fondly call them is so I can fiddle with them time after time. Useful lesson i learned when I upgraded to PSP 8 and had to rescan all my sketches. Now I have them all saved in a sketches folder and can have a go at them.

Also think ... ghosting the image if you have Super Blade Pro its a plug in for both PS and PSP . That's how I got the lady on the mountain :) lol. tons of things but hey you can do it...

And I've quite a few of those for more collabs... :)

And as an aside, drawing from a poser pic is so darn much easier for most as I don't have to use live model (they are darn expensive unless it's life drawing class which I don't take) and easier than the magazine ads which while great have too much going on to use the model effectively. :)

waves to ya'll...

I'll see Pat depends on time today as it I have to wait to post 2 more images just for today got myself off kilter here lol. I may try it , if I feel real creative
gotta be in the right state of mind for me to think of some of the tricks I use even in animation. ..we'll see what happens since we have another week or 2 I ought to hit a creative point lol lol......laterssssssss

*plays with PS7*

*draws pants on Angie* hmmmm

Okay okay I like these I think there should not be much of a time limit since everyone has their other things but you could post say 2 or 3 images a month and let peeps work with them for a bit. I really enjoy seeing what I can do with other peeps work. It amazes me what we can come up with! :)

Engel47
22nd July 2005, 20:12
Yup - I agree. I posted an extra one tonight but only coz I was working till midnight and wanted a little play with poser (otherwise I have to go "cold turkey" for the duration of my late shifts) but didn't want to do anything too challenging :D So doing a bald nude suited me down to the ground

I'm affraid your probably going to kill me once you see how I did the second one. did do her but waiting till I can post my 3 today lol Pat then you won't see me lol I don't want to be shot at. j/k I think what LouAnn sais is true not everyone like us here can post 3 images so if they can only post 1 they would be giving up there one per day post of there work to do these. I'm wondering it there is a way Angela can over ride that for those posting in the collaboration I don't need it but I am sure most everyone else would be grateful. Least we'd be able to keep this forum going full speed a head.
talk to you later I need sleep 2 hours in the last 48 isn't cutting it.
laters all.

23rd July 2005, 20:33
"Oh sleep it is a gentle thing
Beloved from pole to pole
to Mary queen the praise be given
she sent the gentle sleep from heaven
that slid into my soul"

Okay how I remember that from The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner which I learned back some 40 years ago iis beyond me cause I can't remember what I had for dinner today!!!! lol

Anyway I found a bit of a way around the posting more than one image already.. check out my latest post. But yes maybe it would be nice if we could do the colaboration one more often. There are a lot of us that only get one pic a day.. which is fine with me I rarely can do more than one a day and as you notice I upload a lot of older work to because I don't have time to do even one a day.

But I'm certainly enjoying doing these pics. I think we all should post something for others to work on. Would be very interesting to see what others do with our work. :)

ppetersen
23rd July 2005, 23:51
I would love for others to do a simple poser figure, but not sure if the others who sketch would be willing. Uhhh I can 'dare' em... lol. J/k but I can ask.. wouldn't hurt... :) What everyone has done is phenominal and i love seeing how everyone did my sketch so different and unique. and for future I wouldn't be dissapointed in any presentation or interpretation... Heck, I've done ancient greek art and done it my way... that's what it's all about... da dah da... :)))

I am afraid there isn't any way to do this as the upload limit is set by user type. Registered member 1 per day - subscriber 3 per day. No way to change that I am afraid. But you could always try Lou Ann's method.

I don't mind using my one upload for this. They're the only things I work on, lol
I just noticed that if I mouse over my image, the original title appears (I have a bad habit of changing them at the last moment) Now I'm mousing over every image to see if I'm the only one who does this. LMAO!!!! I blame it on the horrid heat, being overworked, and just having lost my marbles years ago. ;)

I think most of us do this - I give my images a "working" title and then call it something else when I upload it most of the time.
