-> About me

I should probably tell something about me, but there's no time, there's no need and there's no point in doing it! :D My friends calles me mihai or simple - just K (my name is kaizer). Call me as you like; my respect won't come from your way of calling me names...

--> About forum

- Please make pertinent statements and learn how to put a problem on a board in order not to be missunderstood.
- Please try to remember that some of us (me included) have english as a second language, so be wise and patient if we don't get your point 100% everytime!
- I'm sure that you already are aware of the rules of this site in particular and the rules of respecting other people's opinion, generally speaking. This forum is a field where every opinion should run free and not a prison where I'll tell you to shup up everytime you'll have a different opinion than mine, but I won't tolerate any disrespectful behaviour.
- Art is not intentionally made for fun; Art is serious - it requires knowledges, hard work, a lot of imagination and, most of all, an open mind. Nobody will tell you: "Do this, do that!" E.g. - there are some rules in photography, but beyond any rules stands the rule called originality! So...be creative, be original! Do not stole ideas or works, make some of your own!
- As we already are in 8 august and the forum is making its first steps, a photo challenge will come alive in september (october - the latest). I have a lot of ideas about challenges, but since I would like to consider this photography forum an open forum, I'd like to hear your ideas about a challenge.

---> nothing about :D

I'll add something else when it will be the case! Tell me what do you think about this forum and what do you expect from it or from me - as I am a very flexible man! If there's anybody willing to help me, I always care for a friend's hand! Till next time, adios! :meditate:

mihai Welcome again as moderator. Please don't worry about your English, Its very good, and I speak English as a first and only language, its better than mine. But mines laced with what I call hillbillyism's. :D like ya'll and jest and cuz lol anyway.. Thanks for the introduction... I'm looking forward to challenges.. Not so much for me but for my son. He is a good photographer and I'd like to see him do more. I used to take a lot of pictures but I can't get around well now so I don't take pics anymore.

As Chris said there are loads of catagorys. I love B&W photography even if one of the rules is you can change a color one to B&W in PS or something, thats usually how I do it. Somethings just look beter B&W. I like the idea of maybe portraits or animal pics, flowers, wildlife, sunsets theres all sorts of things that make for good photography! Looking forward to seeing what goes on in these challenges because Photography is one form of many forms of art. :)

Hi folks :wave:
Well, short bio here (http://www.innertraveler.com/messagecenter/showthread.php?t=672)
I just bought a new camera a Konica Minolta Dimage Z5 (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0501/05012102konicaminoltaz5.asp) wich I am very satisfied with and quite an upgrade from my old Canon Powershot A200 (http://www.megapixel.net/cgi-bin/fs_loader.pl?p=http%3A//www.megapixel.net/reviews/canon-a200/a200-review.html) which has a very good macro and has been a good camera for its price. I mainly use Photoshop Elements 3 for editing but also Paint shop Pro 9.

i guess the camera itself is not important... :) it's more what we're able to see through... :)
don't you think so?

eh, Christian...I couldn't agree more...doesn't really matter what type of camera we have; if we really manage to give the viewer something - that is the real thing.... a painter with light, a painter with a brush, a painter with words...trying to be one of these could simply set us free!
