The Winner Of The "dawn" Contest!!!!

It has been such a pain to decide the winner in this first "warm up" terragen contest... There were sooo many excellent entries, being for the mood, being for a very skilled realisation, being for my personal tastes.
I first picked up some images which I particularly found to give me the right mood, which I found pleasant, which were actually wonderful dawns I I'd have loved to be there to behold to.
Then I tried to look at them, to eliminate a few or most of them from my choice, and...
...I couldn't do it... sob. :(
So I resolved to put them on my desktop for a few minutes each, and finally told myself: "YES! It THIS is the one":

AND...THE WINNER IS...

RED SKY IN THE MORNING by ron0946!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think ron's was the image which I returned each and every time I looked at the gallery. I do love pink skies, I do love the golden reflection on water, and the pleasant waves, I do love the realistic sky and the fact that the sun is just around the edge of the image. Congrats, Ron!

I would like to special mention the following images, which have put me in a real "embarrassment of beauty" to chose the best one:
"Dawn III" by vos: my second place, almost the winner, for I do love the strong mood which the image transmits
"Arctic Sunrise" by Hawk: great "in your face" sun effect!
"What If" by ppetersen: big mood, and skillful realisation, a strong contender.
"Haloazul" by jrsaldana: winner of the "most skilled" and the "impressive light effects" category :)
Also I did like a lot "New Day Dawning" by Engel, "Dawn On the Sur" by wile1 and finally "Swamp Island Sunrise" by classylady ("most original" award ;) )

As I sayd in my first post: there were many winners in my heart, and to my eyes... But Ron's had that special thing that got me!

Ron, I'll PM you around september 20th, to ask you to decide THE NEW THEME FOR OCTOBER :duel: CONTEST! So think hard about it, ok? ;)

As all of you may remember, I'll be on my (deserved) vacation from the next week to September 19th, so we won't have a september challenge, but be prepared for october!
